Containing what is within our hearts is not easy, the contents will spill out at some point.

Paul gives us his run-down of the attributes of love; and one of them is that love keeps no record of wrongs.

“David said to the Philistine, ‘You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of hosts’” (1 Sam 17:45).

“Do not quench the Spirit” (1 Thess 5:19). This short verse teaches us to move with the Spirit, pray in the Spirit, be guided by the Spirit.

This world is not our home, and yet even here on earth the Lord has a place for us, a place where we can serve him and help in the great work of salvation.

Being in the dark is a common experience. The enemy of our souls wants us kept in the dark, but the Lord desires to bring us out into the light.

The domain of darkness is divided and cannot continue. Jesus, on the other hand, brings in the true precious kingdom of light.

The Lord uses heavenly beings, spiritual agents, differing types of angels to fulfil his work. He also uses human beings, we all have work to do of some sort.

Jesus found the Sadducees wanting in two areas

The Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!” Jesus replied, “I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out”.

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you” (Gal 1:6).
