"And there was evening and there was morning, the first day" (Gen 1:5). We can see quite clearly now the evening and morning are with the planet simultaneously.

David recognized God’s handiwork in the skies; now it is written in Psalm 8 for all the earth in every generation to read just in case they may miss it.

We don’t read of God breathing into the nostrils of animals; man alone has been made in the image of God. Air or wind is a parallel or symbol to help us learn something important.
